Wellington Zest Tours

A Zest Wellington tour introduces you personally to this compact cosmopolitan city, called New Zealand's 'culinary, cafe and coffee capital'. Did you know that Wellington is said to have more cafes and restaurants per capita than New York?

Our walking tours show city sights at street level, as your personal guide shares local stories and an insider's view. Zest reveals selected favourites in the Cuba and Courtenay Quarters, often missed by most visitors. Enjoy small tastes of different foods for a gourmet tour experience with a difference.

Wellington's downtown area is flat and easy walking. Small, personal tours help you discover the vibrant Wellington culinary scene from an insider's perspective.

At the end of your tour we give you a list of our favourite cafes, bars, restauarants, food stores and coffee roasters, to enjoy during the rest of your time in the capital.

'In three hours we learned a lot about the development of Wellington's foodie scene and the festival and cultural activities in a great city. For us, the really great element was the opportunity to meet local influencers of the food scene, to understand the background to their buinesses and, of course to sample good food, from cookies, honey, chocolate and gelati to a range of savoury products.'
- Greg, Trip Advisor

'Great way to get a good feel for Wellington, highly recommend. Did local chocolate, peanut butter, gelato, coffee, then finished with lunch at Logan Brown - one of the best places in Wellington. Met lots of the owners and got a great tour from Fabs! Great way to experience the city, support some local businesses and get some great food. One of the top tours.'
